Just a quick 20 minute drive west, Auburndale is famous for its sports tourism and lakeside living. Here, you’ll find top area attractions like Lake Myrtle Sports Park which regularly hosts regional and national athletic events, the International Market World Flea and Farmers Market which features over 1,200 vendor booths, as well as local eateries like Peebles Bar-B-Q and Beef ‘O’ Brady’s. Downtown Auburndale park is also a great way to spend an afternoon. This beautiful green space is in the middle of historic downtown Auburndale and is walkable from local shops, cafes, and antique stores.

Central Florida Watersports and Boat Rentals is a great spot to rent a boat so you can get out there and explore the beautiful Chain of Lakes. Kiwanis Park is a popular lakeside community park on the banks of Lake Silver and Old Man Franks is also a local favorite. This legendary tiki bar and restaurant is located directly on lake Howard and offers incredible sunset views and live music.

Just 10 miles west of Lakeland, Plant City makes for a fantastic day trip during your stay at Palm Breeze Estates. If you visit during Florida’s strawberry season (Jan-Mar), you won’t want to miss the world-famous strawberry shortcake at the Parkesdale Farm Market.
